Turkish Airpower
Fixed-Wing | Rotary-Wing Aircraft
Turkish Air Force, Naval Aviation, and Army Aviation forces are shown below. The modern Turkish Air Force is stocked primarily with American Cold War-era products led by the Lockheed F-16 Fighting Falcon multirole fighter as the principle lead-in solution. The service still operates an aging fleet of McDonnell F-4 Phantom II fighters in their RF guise. The service is, however, benefitting from a growing indigenous military industrial base resulting in additions such as the Hurkus-B trainer type and T129 attack helicopter. The fleet is dominated by rotary-wing elements showcasing a focus on mobility.
