Turkeys relatively large population affords it one of the larger standing armies in the world with some 775,000 total personnel committed through various branches of service. This includes over 400,000 active personnel. The Army service has done well to modernize, featuring a bevy of semi-automatic and automatic options covering pistols, submachine guns, assault rifles, sniper rifles, and machine guns. The local industrial base has also been key in producing equally-localized solutions such as anti-material rifles and anti-tank missiles / rockets.
